Afrikids KC Hope Project
For Centuries the vast riches of Equatorial Africa were exploited which has led to many wars and horrific strife. Because of these conflicts, the United Nations placed people from these countries into refugee camps. Many for over 10 years.
We met 4 families now living in Parker Square in KC, MO. through two homeless friends, Dennis and Anthony who attended our church. I remember the first time I met the children and they were reluctant to shake my hand. We soon developed a trust and now we are now friends with 4 families and 14 children. All 14 children are actively enrolled at CrossRoads Academy, in Kansas City Mo. Crossroads is doing a great job in helping our friends get caught up academically. One family has a queen size bed and they have 6 kids sleeping in one bed. They are also in need of basic items like underwear and clothing to be able to go to school.
We have listed some of the material needs that the families have below. They also need “aunts and uncles” “big brothers and big sisters” to help with their personal and academic development. Parker Square is centrally located at 10th and Paseo in KC, MO. Will you come alongside these precious children? They will be richly blessed and we believe you will be also.
